About the Artist

Picture
Art has been an important part of my life for as long as I can remember.  Until I retired a few years ago, I had little time to devote to my art.  I taught secondary school mathematics for thirty-one years, raised two terrific children, Jeffrey and Jeanette with my husband Dale, and now I finally have the time to paint.   My sister-in-law, Betty got me started with watercolour when she convinced me to take a painting class in North Bay one summer. The instructor, Arlie Hoffman has been a wonderful source of encouragement and inspiration.
I have also taken classes from Julia Conlon, Constance Noyle, and Linda Kemp.  As a beginner in the field of watercolour I am enjoying the wonderful unexpected results of using this media.

Without a doubt, I'm hooked on painting.  I look forward to perfecting my skills and evolving as an artist.
